The first two paragraphs' main goal is to demonstrate how poorly Iranians are treated in order to explain why everyone is defying the government's rules and rioting everywhere. The theme that is developed later on in the story is that Iran has a government that is only nice for the elite class, and life for the regular person is extremely terrible.

The author's main purpose in the article's first two paragraph is to show how Mahsa Amini's death, later leading the Iranians to protest. The first two paragraph explained what happened to Amini, how she died because the way she was dressed. This later on spread to the entire country which then striked protesters. The Iranians protest against the government and religous leaders for the strict religous rules and the mess Iran got into.

The author's main idea in the first 2 paragraphs is that the government is too religious, unjust, and mistreats women. It showed how laws were hard on women, which also lead to Mahsa Amini's death. The rest of the article showed how Iran's government is oppressing and violent. For example, "Authorities brutally crushed those uprisings, killing hundreds of protesters. In the current crackdown, security forces have fired on peaceful protesters with bullets and water cannons and beaten them with batons, killing more than 200 people, including 28 children." This shows that peaceful or not, if you're a protester, Iran's government will see you as a threat and kill you.

This shows that the author is trying to demonstrate how intense the morality police are when it comes to how women dress. In addition, the author later explains how Mahsa Amini was taken in a van and was dead three days later, adding to the exceedingly harsh conditions regarding the morality police in Iran.

The author's main idea during the first 2 paragraphs is telling the readers that the laws in Tehran are extremely strict and religious to the point that the women needed to be arrested for wearing some of their revealing clothing such as the hijab. This make Tehran very a like to oppressive countries and it is very concerning for the people living there with no freedom, like the government himself. Thus, it began protests for women rights and freedom, soon after Mahsa Amini's death.

For example, woman can be taken in by the morality police for having even just a strand of hair out of their hijab.
