Christopher Piccigallo was born on the Lower East Side.  He has always wondered about the history of the LES neighborhood because of his immigrant grandfather and his affiliation with the Fulton Fish Market.  He attended Hunter College (CUNY) and earned his BA in History/ Puerto Rican Studies and went on to earn his MA from Touro College in education.  Chris has been teaching in the New York public school system for seventeen years and has been teaching overall for a total of 25 years.  He is very passionate about his work and enjoys the critical thinking aspects of teaching on a daily basis by pushing his students to think outside the box and strive to be there very best.
