The arrivals of tacos and spaghetti and meatballs both grew rapidly in population when they arrived in the U.S. because Americans considered them fast, and delicious meals. For example, "By the early 1920s, spaghetti and meatballs was going mainstream. People loved that it was inexpensive, filling, and delicious." and "Americans loved the speed and convenience. Tacos, it turned out, were ideal as fast food: cheap, delicious, and—thanks to mechanical fryers—easy for restaurants to churn out."

The thing they had in common was that they were cheap and easy to produce. For example, tacos became popular because of the production of the fryer, which produced tacos faster, and the rise of fast food which prepared food within minutes and was cheap made tacos popular. In addition, spaghetti was also easy to produce due to its ingredients and how cheap it was.

The arrival of tacos, spaghetti, and meatballs all were cheap, fast, and delicious. Because of this they were very popular. They were brought to the US by immigrants. Spaghetti was brought to the US by Italians and modified to match the Americans' way of eating. Tacos were unpleasant to make at first but technology changed that. The arrivals of tacos and spaghetti and meatballs in the U.S have in common that everyone loves to eat them. And most of the time, the two popular foods would be mainly popular in a specific state. For example, Mexico has the best tacos and Italy has the best spaghetti and meatballs. And still today, these two dishes would be everywhere around America. They would be in food trucks, supermarkets, etc. So overall, they're very popular foods that almost everyone loves.

Both tacos and spaghetti and meatballs were introduced to America by immigrants. The arrival of these new dishes provided a cheap meal to eat when you're too lazy to cook or when you're in a rush to work. With increasingly more modern technology, it became easier to produce such dishes in short amounts of time, thus increasing the popularity of both tacos and spaghetti and meatballs.

They were both foods that were "modified" and had a long lasting impact. For example, people created a machine specifically for making tacos easier to make. This then influenced the opening of Taco Bell which is still here today. Moreover, people merged spaghetti and meatballs to create one meal to match America's fast pace; it is still eaten today.

For example, the tacos shell were changed from soft, fresh tortilla to hard shell shells made from a taco fryer. This change was because of the taco fryer invention made in the U.S. Furthermore, when spaghetti and meatballs first came to the U.S. from Italian immigrants, there were never meatballs in the dish until it came to the United States. This was because Italy believes meat is a delicacy and not a regular food dish. Therefore, because of the United States' abundance of meat, immigrants changed spaghetti to include meatballs. Tacos, spaghetti, and meatballs were all introduced to the U.S. by immigrants. Tacos originated in Mexico and were brought by Mexican immigrants who were in search of jobs. Similarly, spaghetti originated in Italy and was brought to the U.S. by Italian immigrants. For instance, according to the text, it states, "Around the same time, many laborers began traveling to the United States in search of railroad, mining, or agricultural jobs. As they made their way north, they brought their beloved tacos with them." In addition, in the text, it states, "In part, it was thanks to immigrants from Southern Italy, who had long enjoyed small portions of pasta with tomato sauce. They brought that dish with them to the U.S., where they often settled in the same communities as people from other regions of Italy."

The arrival of tacos and spaghetti and meatballs is that they were all popular foods and also very cheap for example in the article it said that "Tacos, it turned out, were ideal as fast food: cheap, delicious, and—thanks to mechanical fryers—easy for restaurants to churn out. The rise of fast-food tacos helped popularize the dish not just in the Southwest but across the entire country. When the first Taco Bell opened in Los Angeles in 1962, the fast-food restaurant was an immediate success. By the end of the decade, two new Taco Bells were opening every week!

The arrivals of tacos and spaghetti and meatballs in the U.S. were similar because both foods came from different countries and are loved by many (and famous). Tacos came from Mexico and are fast to make, cheap, and delicious. For instance, “Tacos, it turned out, were ideal as fast food: cheap, delicious, and—thanks to mechanical fryers—easy for restaurants to churn out. On the other hand, although spaghetti and meatballs were mainly more from the U.S. than Italy, spaghetti and meatballs were influenced by Italians. For example, according to the text, “ So how did meatballs and spaghetti end up on one plate? In part, it was thanks to immigrants from Southern Italy, who had long enjoyed small portions of pasta with tomato sauce. They brought that dish with them to the U.S., where they often settled in the same communities as people from other regions of Italy. As neighbors discovered each other’s foods, they began incorporating those foods into their own cooking.” This shows that both foods came from different countries and are influenced by immigrants and are loved by many people across the world.

The arrival of tacos and spaghetti and meatballs in the US had a lot of similarities. Tacos originated in Mexico and were a food they had been eating for around 1,000 years. Around the 1900's many Mexicans immigrated to the United States looking for jobs and they brought their tacos with them. Tacos soon became very popular and people started experimenting with more ingredients. On the other hand, spaghetti and meatballs didn't even originate in Italy even though most people seem to believe that. During around 1880-1920 over 4 million Italians immigrated to the US. Meat was very expensive so they did not eat much in Italy but they still made meatballs. When these immigrants came to the US people urged them to eat more meat and their meatballs started getting bigger and the portions larger. People started mixing their food to try to find new combinations and they stumbled across spaghetti and meatballs. Eventually the first can was made and it was a big hit for many people to eat when they didn't want to cook a lot that night.

Both tacos and pasta had in common that both came from immigrants. For example tacos came from mexico while pasta came from Italy. In the article it states "In part, it was thanks to immigrants from Southern Italy, who had long enjoyed small portions of pasta with tomato sauce. They brought that dish with them to the U.S., where they often settled in the same communities as people from other regions of Italy. " This shows that pasta was brought by Italian immigrants. Then it also says "By the 1950s, many of the children and grandchildren of those first Mexican immigrants were prospering in the United States. The nation’s economy was booming, and many Mexican Americans were being hired for new types of jobs that paid well. " Which shows that tacos were brought by immigrants.

The arrival of tacos along with spaghetti and meatball were similar in that both were introduced by immigrants and became popular throughout America. According to How Tacos Conquered America by Mary Kate Frank, “many laborers began traveling to the United States… As they made their way north, they brought their beloved tacos with them”. In addition, in the passage The Story of Spaghetti and Meatballs, the author Ashley Naclerio wrote “ immigrants from Southern Italy, who had long enjoyed small portions of pasta with tomato sauce... often settled in the same communities as people from other regions of Italy. As neighbors discovered each other’s foods, they began incorporating those foods… resulted in entirely new dishes—like spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce”. In other words, tacos along with spaghetti and meatballs were introduced by immigrants. Furthermore, fast food also became popular in America and since the two foods were cheap and were mostly quick to make, it appealed to Americans making the foods popularity blow up.

Both the arrival of tacos and spaghetti and meatballs were brought by immigrants, who first arrived in the united states. Tacos and Spaghetti were relatively cheap and tasty, which made it a big hit for immigrants. In addition to that, they were fast and easy to eat. For example, in the text it says "By the 1950s, a new way of eating was sweeping the country: fast food. For the first time, you could drive up to a restaurant like McDonald’s, order a hamburger and fries for less than a buck, and have it in your hands in minutes. Americans loved the speed and convenience...The image was part of a 1956 advertisement for Chef Boyardee spaghetti and meatballs, which sold for as little as 26 cents a can."

In the article, the author says " Americans loved the speed and convenience". So when the "taco fryer" was invented, the way restaurants made tacos changed. They were able to fry 7 tacos at a time;unlike the freshly made tortillas they would last weeks; while the freshly kneeded tortillas lasted 2-3 days. During the 1900s tacos were only consumed in the southern parts of America closer to Mexico. By the 1950's Juvencio Maldonado's invention had changed the way tacos were made; by the late 1960s taco bells were popping up left and right so much so that by the end of the decade 2 opened every week.
