Living in quarantine is not too tough, but sometimes a challenge. I feel as if someday we'll all be trapped inside, with no food. Recently the nearby grocery stores ave been running out of food, justifying my concerns. the virus has been making everyone worry (from the many face masks I see outside to now my mother carrying around antibacterial wipes) that they're going to catch the virus. We at home are trying to adjust from the quarantine: my sister is working from our laptop, me from the home desktop, and my mom is working from her work laptop.

My family is doing well. I am naturally accustomed to it, as I do not have many material attachments. I also do not like going outside. My parents still go to work and have taken the necessary precautions to protect themselves. One parent works at home and one at work. I exercise my brain and body. My day at home is not much different than it was before, with it split into 3 groups of eight hours. One to sleep, one to play, and one to do work.

Alex, I like your division of time ;) I think I might start using the 3 groups method. I'll call it... The Alex method!!! Stay safe and healthy.

Me and my family are spending are time in quarantine numerous ways. We now have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with each other which is nice. I'm still running and training for track season, even though there might not be a track season. We all are trying to still be active. I'm doing quite a bit of homework during the day, which is a bit different, and is still very very painful. I don't like being quarantined at all.

My family and I are doing fine, but I can tell there is fear within the community. Many stores nearby are running out of supplies, which is scary because some days it feels like we're going to run out of necessary items. It's kind of like repeating the same process everyday: wake up, eat, do work, play, eat, sleep and all over again.

Being in self quarantine has been difficult for me as I don't like to stay inside all day. However, my family has been trying to make the most of it by cleaning the house, playing board games, hanging out together, etc. I have been playing a lot more music lately which I find a very good way to pass time learning new songs. If anyone has any more ideas of things we could do during this time, please share! I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.

Being quarantined is not so bad, I get to stay home and be with my family but there are spontaneous moments where I miss my friends and yet I'm not able to see them or talk to them in person. My parents aren't that scared but they're trying to be cautious about things and we're keeping up with the news as best as we can on the situation with COVID-19. I haven't stepped out of the house for 4 days (including today).

My family and I are doing well. I'm just playing video games with my online friends. My family are at home playing on their phone. This is how we spend our time in quarantine. 🙃

During this time in quarantine, my family and I are doing our own things that we usually do on weekends. The only change is that, if part of my family go outside, they try to come back earlier. My family and I are not spending time together because we like to do our own things. Quaratine has also been difficult for me, like others, since I'm used to going outside most of the week.

My family and I are doing okay, but I'm starting to feel a routine crashing down on me, which is sleeping, eating, playing games, then more eating and sleeping. Honestly, being in quarantine is pretty boring when you constantly have to clean everything we touch and stay home. I hope that the virus will die down soon because it's to the point where sometimes I want to have school again (very rare).

Being in self quarantine has been pretty difficult for me because it's really hard to stay active. My swimming has been canceled for 2 weeks and now I have nothing to do. My dad still goes to work while my mom stays at home and takes care of my brother and I. I am still doing work but other than that I have nothing to do. I really do not like self quarantine because I can't go out and have fun.

My family and I have mainly been staying home. However, my parents still have work so they have to go out. While staying home, I mainly just watch videos, play games, sleep, and eat. It’s been a bit boring and will soon be very repetitive throughout this month. Hopefully, things get better so everyone can go back to their regular lifestyle!

First of all, I prefer the term Social Distancing (Quarantining is when under state or federal law individuals or groups are on lock-down, which as of yet I think none of us are.) Regardless, now that all non-essential businesses are shut down, my family and I aren't doing all that much. My dad (as of yet) is still going to the office, even though courts are closed, and my mom is working from home. We have been very fortunate in that we have an extra bedroom that my mom is able to use as a temporary office. As for me, I've just been passing the time reading books (The Art Of War by Sun Tzu which is, dare I say, a work of art, and free on kindle) playing video games, watching YouTube, and exercising. My soccer team sent us an email of some conditioning drills we can do while we're away, and so I'm doing my best to stay fit. My first project has been to work on my advanced tech project, since I can easily do that from home, and I'll see where I go from here.

I pass the time by doing some homework, playing some video games, and reading books. Despite this, I find my day quite mundane because unlike school, there is no set schedule to follow so I'm constantly bored.

Gideon--thanks for the feedback---self-quarantine is actually for those who have contracted the virus or show symptoms Whereas we are experiencing more the idea of "social distancing" meaning avoid large crowds, no shaking hands, etc.--good point---- the semantics matter.

My family and I are trying to make the most time of it while in quarantine. It gets really boring but the positive side of being in lockdown is having the time to rest. During school weeks, I barley get any rest due to sports, but since sports got shutdown too, I can have the time to rest and take care of my body. I try to do things to distract my self from the boredom by talking to friends over the internet and playing volleyball at home.

My family and I are spending this time catching up with some work and cleaning. Some of the people in my family are reading the news probably since they wake up to before they sleep. However, not much has change since both my aunt (in college) and I started staying at home. It's only been officially the second day NYC students stay home from school, but it's starting to get extremely boring and maybe a little mentally insane because if school was in session, I'll be running around and playing sports probably 2/3 of the time I'm awake.

My family is doing well. Like a lot of other families we are overstocked on food and careful so we don't get coronavirus. I am passing the time by playing video games and reading. i still go outside but i am very careful I don't touch anything. There are rumors that Manhattan might go under quarantine for a few days which is why I'm trying to go outside as much as possible.

My family and I are doing pretty well. I think that we are living life pretty normally, but it is unfortunate that we are not able to come to school and socialize in person. I have just been reading and playing games and also doing some school work. All of my volleyball tournaments got canceled. Most events got postponed. I am socializing by using facetime or zoom (online group meeting) and I hope that everything is completely back to normal again asap.

During quarantine, I've been helping around the house, doing laundry, babysitting, cooking, etc. Quite frankly, I'm incredibly bored and would rather be at school where I could talk to people instead of being stuck at home. I hope that this ends soon because my regular schedule is typically far better than this.

My family and I are spending more time at home. This is very boring because all I ever get to do is probably check my emails and Jupiter to see if there is any new notices. As of now, we are only going out when necessary and taking full precaution because anyone can have the virus. The virus doesn't sound too bad but the numbers that people are dying at and the amount of people infected makes it sound very severe. However, I'm pretty sure we will all be fine. I've sit in my chair and desk the whole day. I either spend my free time telling my friends how bored I am or I end up watching some tv shows. Everyone is just wishing days fly by fast and we can end this situation earlier. Technology is our only entertainment for now.

I've been spending my time performing a lot of different activities. Sometimes, I play video games. Other times, I complete random courses on Khan Academy I feel I could use practice on. I also do household chores like washing dishes. My younger brother has already been recieving assignments on Google Classroom and he's been completing them very quickly and efficiently. He spends the majority of his free time either playing video games, creating music using Garage Band, or playing with his stuffed animals.

TBH, i don't know whether to be relieved that school is canceled or not. I appreciate the fact that the DOE is trying to keep us safe, however, that means we wont be learning as much new stuff for the future. Colleges and High Schools would be pressured to change their procedures on admitting which students because they wont know as much as others. But so far, these are only thoughts in my head. I've just been sitting around the house lately, trying to get my thoughts together, and helping around the apartment when asked. Really though, the vacation wasn't as excited as i thought, but then again, this is because of a virus.

Living in quarantine is not that hard, but it is extremely boring. Usually I always have something to do, whether it's going to school or hanging out with friends outside of school. Really hope to get back to school and normal life again. On the high note, families are definitely spending more time together!

I'm at home doing work playing video games here and there but i'm honestly extremely bored and have nothing to do. The most physical thing i can do at home is walk around or play volleyball with a beach ball. Other than that my brother is at home pretty much all day my other brother is stuck in his dorm with my cousin and can't come back to NYC in case he catches it. My parents are still working but my mom's work might close in the next few days and my dad i don't really know. But they're extremely cautious when they come home and make sure to disinfect themselves. If i'm being honest my eyesight is probably going to get worse cause there is really nothing to entertain us other than our computers and phones.

It is very hard to pass the time. I'm also starting to develop a routine. I wake up, work, and participate in what we call "Reading Hour." I know I won't get much exercise, so I like to do a lot of push-ups and sit-ups just because. Tennis is basically the only sport I can play because opponents are more than 6 feet away from each other, but soon, I might not even be able to do that. I am so bored that I actually placed tape across my room so I can play mini squash/tennis/whatever the heck it is against the wall. I'm just taking videos so that in the future, we remember the time. I guess a positive is that I've never sped through books so quickly, and I get to spend quality time with my family while SOMETIMES getting into arguments. It's hard, but when you think of all the people who have it worse or are in danger of losing their homes, you deal with it.

During this social distancing my family and I are taking lots of advantage of the huge amount of free time. Doing things we have been putting off such as cleaning. The amount of random clutter items we have thrown out is shocking. Along with these we have been trying to stay active within the house. I've even attempted to take up yoga. However, I'm not sure how long that will last. We find ourselves talking on the phone a lot with friends and family we currently can't see. I'm constantly on facetime and making sure to check for new assignments and messages quite often. I hope everyone else is doing very well. Happy St. Patricks day!

Living in self quarantine is difficult for me because there isn't much to do besides eat, work, play games, and sleep. It has been difficult because I can't do sports or go outside to hangout or to get fresh air. Me and my family try to do indoor activities like draw or paint but it ends up for us to watch movies or to be on our phones.

We are inside most of the time but almost everyday now Hunter, Derek, and I have been going to the park together (not the shady one).
