Please write in this blog. First, how are you and your families doing? Also, I am curious to know what are your thoughts/opinions about this global pandemic?

My family and I are doing just fine. I think this global pandemic is such a devastating situation, it has effected many things around the world and it has just stopped all of us from a “normal life”.

My family is great. What I think about the virus that its worrying that it takes up to two weeks to even know if you are sick of not, also every store is almost empty when you're looking for every day items. I'm not really panicked about it but it still is kind of scary.

I hope they don’t run out of Hot Chips and those 99 cents drinks. Say high to your mom for us.

My family and I are doing well. My parents have prepared extensively for this. I think different countries are addressing this global pandemic in two different ways. Some countries like South Korea are managing to control the virus by quarantining everybody. This method is proving to be quite effective because it has helped keep the number of cases to a minimum. Other countries such as Italy did not address the problem fast enough. As a result, its healthcare system is being overwhelmed. I sincerely hope the United States acts fast enough to end up like South Korea, not Italy.

Thanks everyone for leaving your comments for us to read. We enjoy reading all of them. We will try and create a new blog each day so we have artifacts for us to remember. Keep those blogs coming.

For the 1920s research paper, are we supposed to press “turn in” or would you like us to just add the docs as an attachment w/o turning it in?

This question relates to the virus. How well would inoculation work against this virus? It has been proven to work since the ancient times. When people were inoculated with smallpox, one in fifty of those people would die. (This is still lower than smallpox’s lethality rate of 30% under normal circumstances) The other 98% of people inoculated would recover from the minor infection of smallpox and gain immunity to it. To me, perhaps we could use inoculation to combat COVID-19. I don’t see why it wouldn’t against the virus.

When we join Khan Academy, is there a class code that should be entered in order to see the assignments?

Elaine, when you go inside gmail, you will see join with existing account or sign up. Just click with existing account then the class will be added automatically but I'm not sure if there are any assignments yet.
