Not good, I overslept on Monday, because my alarm wasn’t loud enough, and now I literally have 13 different alarms in the morning. Otherwise it’s all good.
Leyu, just get 1 alarm clock that really works!
Its harder than regular school. I never thought I would be saying this, but i wish I was at school.
I miss the interaction between the students and teachers.
Remote learning has been pretty good so far because I get to do what I want when I want it without teachers saying no. in addition I get to eat when I want and do what I want when I do the work. Lastly, I get out of school 1:30 hours earlier as I dont have to commute. even with all of these benefits, I wish we were still in school.
Alex, true--just remember attendance from 9:00 am to 9:15
At first, everything was really confusing and I think we were all freaking out yesterday because some of the instructions weren’t clear for some classes. But it was the first day and now I think everyone got the hang of what’s going on.
Elaine, I agree--second day of remote learning much more smoother with a few hiccups here/there.
Remote learning is not too bad in my opinion. I had to make sure that I was kept on task and made sure to plan out what I had to get done. I think that it might take some time to get adjusted to, but eventually, it won't be too bad.
Remote learning so far is okay, I went to every class on time but it was kinda stressful since the teacher can’t physically help you in person. It was a bit challenging but I’ll get use to it.
I'm still trying to get the hang of it. Learning at school is definitely much easier, but I guess we'll just have to work with what we've got.
Remote learning was a really good idea, and I'm glad our school is practicing that so we could still learn everyday.
Honestly, it's not as good as normal learning. When you're actually able to converse with your classmates and teachers face-to-face, it makes the learning a lot more engaging. Another problem I'm afraid of is if the internet service just suddenly shuts down. Furthermore, it is much more difficult to ask your teachers questions because of the internet. I also can't ignore the fact that sitting in front of a computer for 5 hrs a day is going to have severe consequences for our eyesight.
The remote learning is harder to get a hang of the going to regular school. It also doesn't seem like a very sustainable way to learn. Also, for some of our classes we aren't getting enough work. I have found that for most of my classes I finish early with about half the period left over.
Overall, remote learning has honestly been a fun way to learn. At first, I couldn't really understand what to do, but I started to get used to it. I miss regular school though, so hopefully, everything gets better quickly!
I don't think remote learning is bad, I am able to work at my own pace but I like to listen to music while working so that kind of distracts me.
I actually prefer this to regular school. Which I believe is an unpopular opinion. But I find the day shorter. I get free time after I complete the work. Every class period is just about perfectly timed for work to get 100% complete. In addition, I think it teaches students time management. Since it is now really up to us to keep up the work and finish at the right time. And really if you do all your work the day ends so much earlier. However, I do think the first day was a bit confusing. Therefore, some students didn't like it.
Starting a new way to learn during the "school day" has been a little confusing. However, from what happened on day 1, this is a time where many people help each other out. Remote learning also allowed me to finish outside projects during break time or when I have leftover time after I finish the assignments for the class period. There are many good and bad things about remote learning but it balances out our time doing things.
I was very confused at first with remote learning but I got the hang of it in a few minutes. It is also easier to do work quicker since there are no distractions but if I need help, it is hard to just ask people for help because they might not answer.
i actually think remote learning is pretty chill, and not bad at all. we can work on our work at pretty much our own pace , and and that makes things much easier.
I actually didn't mind the new style of learning. Without it, there would be nothing to do in the day, and video chats are nice because I get to see my classmates, which is nice. Work gives me something new to think about other than watching videos all day. It's weird, but now I almost look forward to school to be able to see and talk with everyone.
I agree Luke!
It's not that bad, although I do kind of prefer regular school more. It also allows me to eat during "class" time.
I somewhat enjoy remote learning. It gives me the ability to do whatever I want, whenever I want. I am able to accomplish tasks more easily, without human distraction or teacher obstruction and I am able to carry out my duties. I believe remote learning is a better educational tool, but the communication problem remains.
Um!, "teacher obstruction.?" or do you mean a teacher's advice/support?
I like it so far it's much faster than the normal class and a bit more flexible also i can eat during class so thats cool
I don't like it because taking attendance is so confusing and my class is a mess. But I like how we can do our work based on our own pace.
Remote learning is definitely weird. I find that regular school is better because you can talk to your friends and teachers face to face and its more engaging.
I feel like remote isn’t a bad idea for now since we aren’t going back to school for this time but sometimes I don’t know what a teacher wants me to do and it makes me really annoyed.
it is quite confusing at first, however i think that it is pretty nice how we can do our "homework" online and not on paper. it makes everything easier.
Compared to regular school, this new system could be hard to get used to. Eventually, I’ll be able to adjust to this new schedule. However, working at my own pace is something this new system allows me to do.
It is has been pretty hard with the remote learning because it was really stressful yesterday with what we had to do and everything was last minute so I didn’t know my assignment.
Its alright but learning at school in my opinion is way better and less confusing.
It’s been a struggle since the WiFi went out last week and we won’t be able to get it back by next week. There are lots of things I feel like I’m missing because every teacher uses different methods to teach students online and it’s hard to keep track. It’s also very easy and I don’t feel like I’m learning anything.
So far I'm enjoying remote learning, and actually prefer this over regular school. Its pretty chill, but I feel like there too much work being posted at once some of the days, and some of the emails aren't fully understood by every student because there's either errors, or the assignment just wasn't explained well enough. I think the only other downside is that your looking at a computer screen for a while and sometimes your eyes start to hurt.
Aidan--we will try to improve (directions) in the upcoming days. It is a work in progress!
It's not the best, and I feel like normal school is more engaging than online school. Also, the internet spikes that happen every now and then is already starting to become very annoying.
Yufan--Love MORE ENGAGING---I agree 1000%
Honestly, it's probably better than regular school in my opinion because now we actually get more sleep, and we don't have to get our lazy selves to get up and get to school. Furthermore, we can do work on our own time in "class", and now we can help other people that aren't only at out tables.
really Jason---"more sleep?"
I enjoy remote learning more than regular school school. It allows us to work at our own pace and do what we want without a teacher saying no. At first, it was a little confusing because different teachers have different methods for their own class.
Students--and now teachers don't have to deal with classroom management issues. Yahoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
Remote learning is not as bad as I expected it to be, especially with all the technology we have now, which makes it easier for us to communicate. At first, it was confusing, but after a few more classes, I got the gist of it.
For me remote learning is a bit harder than regular school because it's harder to focus when I'm at home instead of at school. It's also a lot more confusing than regular school because we have to use google meet and other apps.
Remote learning is definitely different from school. This is new to everyone and learning online isn't the same compared to school. For example, I don't have to wake up @ 6:45 to get to school on time. Instead, I can wake up @ 8:55 boot up my computer and I'm not considered late. Remote learning also gives more time to complete assignments compared to learning in school. Overall, remote learning isn't the same as going to school.
Students from a teacher's perspective--remote learning is not how I prefer to teach. I think the interaction among peers/adults are essential for one's social/emotional development. In addition, to avoid less confusion and instead of answering 100 questions via emails (in 40 minutes) I enjoy taking on questions in the classroom. Lastly, the computer monitor can't become our "best friend," for many young adults this has already become all too common. At the same time, considering the current circumstances, remote learning has kept us safe and is giving all of us some level of structure----that I do enjoy!
Remote learning isn't actually that bad, but sometimes it's hard for me to find the assignments. However i can just ask my classmates and they would know. It still doesn't feel like school though, because it starts at 9 o'clock instead of 8:15.
I like remote learning because I'm more productive and I get a lot of work done. Remote learning is teaching us time management and problem solving skills which are essential in life. Although we don't get much time with the teacher, we can ask each other for help through text or FaceTime. This has made us work better together as a class already, so in a way we are socializing and getting to talk to our friends. I personally like remote learning and it will be interesting to see how it unfolds for the next few weeks/months.
I find its easier to learn because everything is right in front of you and you can also choose how you want to do your school work and can work at your own pace.
Personally, I am enjoying remote learning way better at this moment. I don't have to see people that I do not like and I could just interact with people I do like such as my friends. Also I am a lot more productive and I feel that it's great because we don't have to wake up as early. The only sad part is that I sort of miss my friends. The reason I said sort of because I do not see them psychically but I see them virtually. Thus, I wouldn't mind staying at home for the rest of the year.
I think remote learning is a fun way to learn, but I don't like how we can't communicate to each other as easily.
Remote learning isn't actually that bad, but sometimes it's hard for me to find the assignments. However, I got friends I could text to get assignments. It feels different but some people might like it but some people might not like it.
The first day, I was freaking out and some teachers instructions weren't clear I was afraid I wouldn't get the work done. The first day was really hectic and there was a bit of trouble with Wifi at times but overall it was pretty good. Today seems to be going much smoother than yesterday. Remote learning isn't bad but I miss going out.
I think remote learning is a good idea because it is better than learning nothing at all. I also like it remote learning because I don’t have to wake up too early every morning like how I have to when there is school. However, things are sometimes very confusing to me when we have remote learning.
Remote learning is okay, but I feel very overwhelmed with the amount of work in every class. But I feel like I'm still learning a lot, I just have to pick up the pace with all the work. The good thing is I don't have to wake up at 6am anymore, so my brain has more energy than usual.
Remote learning is harder in my opinion. Sometimes, there's problems online or a lot of confusion and it sometimes hurts my eyes. The first day was new to us so I was worried I might not get the work done.
Remote learning is not bad in my opinion. Its easier than regular school because I don't have to get out of bed and I could spend time with the people I care about.
I think I prefer in person learning in school because I feel like we are doing less work at home and we have trouble asking for help. Sometimes it is hard to learn new stuff so I think I don't really like the remote learning although we can learn at home and wake up later.
Its really hard and Im not learning anything. It always takes me like 20 minutes to figure out what we have to do and where we have to go.
Hunter, we hope to make the experience of remote learning more effective for you and all students---that is the primary goal.
this way of learning is fine i like that you can chill without having to be rushed.
Honestly, remote learning isn't all that bad, I prefer this kind of learning rather than literally going to school and having to learn. This remote learning to me is faster and better for me and I really enjoy doing this through technology. This also shows what the Pros of technology really are.
Nice Work, keep those thoughts coming you are apart of history.
I feel like this new way of learning is not as engaging and that I would be learning more if I was at school. However, it is nice to do everything at your own pace. I think the teachers should try to come up with more interesting projects that will encourage us to communicate more.
At first the remote learning was confusing and I didn’t know where to go or what to do. I don’t like how the theres and attendance. I rather have assignments and just finish them. But It’s also harder for me since I easily get distracted and I rather go to school because I can interact with people and be in class. Also, I rather not stay home. But overall, I’m getting used to remote learning and everything is less confusing.
The remote leaning is okay sometimes it can be hard because i didn't know where to go and its stressful but i'll get used to it , ill rather go to school then do this.
Remote learning is actually pretty fun so far. I can do a lot of things while working such as, listening to music. It’s just hard to keep track of everything to do since everyone is updating assignments at the same time. It’s nice that we start at 9 and get a break so I have more time to prepare and get ready. It’s not as easy to learn since it’s harder to ask questions and talk with teachers/ other classmates. I’m starting to get used to finding other alternatives to learn and communicate with others now.
Remote learning is okay I like working from home, but sometimes I forget to do the attendance, and since there literally no one to push me to do the work. So, I procrastinate a lot.
Honestly remote learning is actually easier than I thought it was going to be.
I like this way of learning because I actually get a good night's sleep. As of the second day of remote learning, I'm slowly starting to get used to it. The classes are much easier and more enjoyable.
My second day of remote learning was alright. It was a bit confusing but I had my teachers and peers help me. I do not think this way of learning is very efficient. I would want to go to school instead of doing online school if I was being honest.
Remote learning isn't as bad as I thought but I still prefer learning in school better because I can ask teachers questions easier. Since remote learning is new, I do get confused on assignments more often versus learning in school. Some good things about remote learning is that I can listen to music while doing work and there isn't as much classwork.
So far I’ve found remote learning very fun. Not only are we able to learn but we also get to see the faces of our friends. You are also able to do your work at your own pace. Of course I would much rather be at school but this a good alternative for the situation that we are in.
At first the remote learning was confusing and I didn’t know where to go or what to do. It’s also harder for me since I easily get distracted and I rather go to school because I can interact with people and be in class. Also, I rather not stay home. But overall, I’m getting used to remote learning and everything is com
Remote learning is harder on your eyesight and is annoying, but fine.
I am still getting used to remote learning because I am not really tech savvy. Fortunately, I like remote learning a lot more than I thought I would like it. But, I admit that it is very easy to get distracted and off-task. Therefore, I would still must rather be in school
Remote learning was somewhat confusing for me at first because I didn't really know what we were supposed to do. However, it has gotten easier to complete the assignments and honestly enjoy this better than school classes.
I think remote learning is a good idea because it is better than learning nothing at all. I also like it remote learning because I don’t have to wake up too early every morning like how I have to when there is school.
Remote learning has been a fun and also very confusing experience. On the very first day, I was pretty nervous and I was also very confused about what to do. Nothing made sense to me. Eventually, everything began to stick together and it finally made sense. It was fun because I had the opportunity to learn a lot about technology and what I can do with it. Overall, remote learning is great, but I would love to be back in school.
Remote learning has been okay so far, but it doesn't make up for school. It's harder to understand instructions, which aren't so clear sometimes. Sometimes my internet is slow so it takes longer to do assignments. The good thing is that I don't have to wake up as early and I can end the day earlier.
To be totally honest a lot of teachers are giving us more homework and classwork now that we are at home, which is understandable. It's also a lot harder to keep track of everything and I have almost 50 tabs open just for reviewing things every night. It's very complicating and confusing but I'm trying to keep track of everything.
I think that remote learning is much easier and simpler than actual school and since I have no technical difficulties I find it more enjoyable than school because I have more free time and less work. However, I am a little down because with remote learning in place I cannot see my friends nor learn and work with other students.
I think that remote learning is pretty easy because i'm getting used to what i have to do for each class. Theres more hw but doing the hw isnt too bad and the vibe is just different.
I think remote learning is a good idea because it can help kids learning at home，making extra works for them to precticing；but kids‘ eyes are getting hurt because they keep staring on screen.
While we have remote learning from home the workload has been heavier and it's a little harder to keep track of our due dates and work. Something I miss about school that remote learning can't replace is all the socializing. In addition it's easy to lose track of time during class or get distracted. However while in school things are more manageable. Furthermore, I think that the whole thing is going to have to take some time to adjust to, because this week has been a little hectic to get use to.
Personally i don’t really enjoy remote learning because sometimes the directions given are unclear. Yes i understand you can add a class comment on google classroom, however it’s hard to explain what you’re trying to say through typing if that makes sense. I just think it’s easier to speak to a teacher face to face rather than a screen.
Honestly I am just really bored already. And we have so much work.
